Social Justice Ministry


An effort to organize and mobilize around unjust prejudices and policies that affect the community. Through activism the ministry addresses various issues such as wrongful convictions, mass incarceration, predatory lending, zoning, food deserts, voting participation, legal resources and also lends a voice on panels around social issues. 


Busting Out the School to Prison Pipeline


This program secured its initial funding from the City of Evansville Department of Metropolitan Development to launch in 2019. The program serves youth and young adults ages 14-21 and will:


-Bring Awareness to policies and practices in school that adversely affect Black and Brown students


-Partner with EVSC to provide diversity training to teachers that have no experience working with children of color


-Provide meaningful programs for students that have been suspended or exposed to the juvenile correctional system that include life skills training and a tract to graduate from high school or earn a GED


-Provide a safe haven and mentorship to youth



Advocacy Training 101


"The Leader in You" is a four week training that prepares and empowers community leaders to become advocates for issues that are passionate about and want to change. In partnership with My School Options & Evansville Public Library the program will be offered to the community in May and September of 2019.  To register for The Leader in You, go to
